Lealman is once again under attack by the
cities looking to increase their tax base by stripping out Lealman's
commercial properties.
Currently, there is a Legislative
Delegation mandated Task Force comprised of
St. Pete., Pinellas Park, the Lealman Fire District and County
Commissioner Ken Welch. They are attempting to reach a consensus on
annexation into Lealman and the viability of the Lealman Fire District
should annexation take place. They are hoping to resolve the issues
through inter-local agreements. Unfortunately, everyone at the table has a say except
the people of Lealman.
We need to hear from you now so that we
can express your choice at the Task Force meetings. Please let us know
your opinion by completing the Annexation Survey.
