and items of interest
County Budget hearing was held Tuesday, March 15 at
Dixie Hollin’s High School
Wed the 6th is when the E-budget meeting is being held-no
commissioners available to come to speak.
There was a request from a West Lealman resident to have the same
trash service as East Lealman. The LCA’s position has always been to
assist any community, in the unincorporated area, to establish
contracted garbage service.
Some of the basic requirements are:
a.
The area petitioning for contracted trash collection must be compact and
contiguous.
b.
A defined boundary line needs to be established to define the area.
c.
The petition process needs to be used to confirm 60% (a super majority) of
the property owners want to have contract service.
d.
The trash bill will become due when property tax is due.
e.
The rate will be set thru the bidding process.
f.
You need adequate volunteers to get the work done.
Anyone here that has affiliation with any mid-county church please see me
after the meeting. JWB is
looking to expand its family out-reach services.
Please inform your neighbors.
If you need further information call me.
